Welcome to our little corner of the web. My name is Herbert Jay Bacchus, but my friends call me Bert
I'm a graphic designer, art director and writer living in Atlanta, GA. I started Bacchus Design in
2006 to address the design needs of some friends' business ventures and I haven't looked
back since. After a year or so I realized how much more there was for me to learn about
graphic design and branding so I enrolled in the Graphic Design program at The Portfolio
Center here in Atlanta. Under the tutelage of some incredible designers and teachers I
graduated in 2009 and returned to the workforce as a freelancer.

I've worked on projects for UPS, Suntrust, The Georgia Ports Authority, and Novelis
while freelancing for Realm Advertising.

I've also worked on projects for Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Montessori In Town,
and Dust-to-Digital Records.

I recently left my position as graphic designer/art director on an in-house Creative Services team
at Mitsubishi Electric to focus on my own clients and various self-initiated projects.

We changed our name to Folklore Industries to better encapsulate where our interests lie.
We're still a Creative Services Agency but we're involved in so much more than just the design
side of things that it only made sense to have a name that could serve all manner of storytelling:
be that branding, advertising, magazines, books, movies, posters, or logos.

Or, like Neil said, "It's all one song."

Drop me a line if you're interested in working together.

Thanks for stopping in.
